Incredible Tube Amp for the Price

The Supro Delta King 10 is an awesome amp for practice…although it is not quite loud enough for gigging, it offers incredible sound and tones (from sparkling clean to searing overdriven) at reasonable volumes. I would highly recommend this amp to anyone.

I bought this amp on Lucas' recommendation, and I'm so glad I listened to him. If you usually turn your amp up to 7 or 8 and you've been looking for an amp that won't annoy your bandmates, you really should check this one out. I've recorded, rehearsed, and played two gigs (with a pretty loud drummer) with this amp now, and it has done a great job in every situation. You have serious… read more control over the distortion with the Boost switch (which kicks in a clean overdrive) and the Drive switch (which activates a Pigtronix distortion circuit). I know that a built-in distortion circuit usually spells disaster, but I just backed off the treble a little and dropped the Volume and Master knobs, getting very good sounding distortion at a really low volume level. One note -- the 10" speaker throws out an astonishing amount of bass so the amp always sounds very full, but you need to break it in for a few hours to loosen it up a little. I feel very lucky to have found this amplifier, as it really gets close to the sound that's always been in my head. I'll have to try the 15-watt amp next to see if it's as good as this one.

I love this amp. The volume and the master volume let you get the tubes cooking and gives you that old school blues tone. Turning the volume down cleans up the signal and gets great clean tones. The drive i will never use. Supper happy with this purchase. Thanks Brent for your help!
