When I purchased my Les Paul Studio, I found it only comes with a soft shell case. The official Gibson hardshell case was out of stock, so Rob Kramer recommended the Gator. The LP fits this case like a glove. The case is high quality and I am totally satisfied with it.

the quality of the case and hardware is very good. My main concern was the measurements, they were correct and my Hagstrom Alvar fits like a glove. The body is supported, it rest in the neck cradle perfectly, and the headstock has clearance. Very snug, perfect fit. I have been unable to get a Hagstrom case in the USA. Nice case for my Epiphone Les Paul Modern

When I was ordering the guitar the Epiphone case was not in stock and I would not be able to have it shipped in the case. Cases take a lot of room, so I understand why most places do not keep all cases in stock. This case looks almost the same (and might even be) as the Epiphone one. I don't need the word Epiphone on my case. The case seems well made and strong and fits the guitar… read more perfectly. This was the case Sweetwater's system automatically matched up. I have no complaints and it was expected. It is actually better than the photo with all hardware lined up perfectly. I found no defects in the case. I gave it five stars because it is as advertised and I found no issues with it. The guitar in the case arrived perfectly via FedEx.

First off I have always bought the Epiphone brand case whenever I buy a guitar, always liked the cases with the exception of "that" smell that always comes with it. Not a deal breaker mind you, but this case is just as good. Saves $10 and case is just as good as the Epi, and without the smell. Worth a try for you!
