DP100 Super Distortion Bridge/Neck Humbucker Pickup - F-Spaced - Black Review

Very hot pickup

I bought a 2020 reissue of the Fender Strat HM, having played them in the late 80s and always wanted one. The original came with the DiMarzio Super Distortion and the reissue came with a Fender Double Tap, which has beautiful tone and is just a little weak for my taste. I have always been a Seymour Duncan guy and have SDs in all my other guitars except for my Legs Paul, so this… read more was a tough decision for me to try a DiMarzio. I have to admit that I absolutely love this pickup. Pinch harmonics are super easy, the tone is tastefully chunky and juicy and it works well with the tap switch. I did have to look up the color codes for the wires, as there is no standard and all manufacturers are different, but it was a fairly straightforward install and I would definitely recommend it for metal players. I've used it in Marshall, Boogie and Blackstar tube amps and it works well with all of them.

Great Great pickup!

I put this in an rga mahogany neck thru. I was looking for a pickup that wasn't a one trick pony and this did it. Great balanced eq. Notes are nice and thick and it's got all the distortion you want when you want it. I play rock, blues and metal and this pickup delivers on all of it. It's really smooth especially the highs. For me this is a way better pick up than the tone zone wich is what came stock in my guitar. I will be pairing it with an evolution neck when Sweetwater gets it in stock. (Hint,hint,nudge,nudge Sweetwater). Lol! If your looking for an all around pickup with wonderful gain, try it out. Love this pickup!

I have one of these in my Carvel for a few years now and still love it. For Christmas my wife picked me up one of these along with the 36th Anniversary PAF for the neck. I had these on my list to replace an SH1n in the neck and an SH14 Seymour Duncan in the bridge position of my Tremonti SE.
