ITS NOT THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL 57/66!
I purchased the 57/66tw from Sweetwater and Unfortunately it was a disappointing, the 57/66 my favorite emg pickups set , the tw option sounds and responds deferent, it's too harsh sounds totally noise, much less dynamic from the original set "maybe it's just mine I don't know I have emailed my seller and he respond that it's supposed to be sound harsh and deferent response" I… read more wished they mentions this before my purchase, Maybe it's good for serious high gain, even though for straight high gain I choose emg 81 much better more focused and more quite. If you like the versatility and the dynamic of the original 57/66 the tw option is not for you don't waste your money stick with the old one.
Amazing sound, fits perfectly in my les paul
This is my first dual mode emg pickups and the are amazing. I already owned another set of 57/66 i have in a different guitar so i knew what to expect from the sound. I was supprised on how the single coil mode on the neck pickup is and the you can really hear the tone adjustment on each pickup. The wiring was super simple to follow like most newer emg products are. I love that… read more i can make my les paul sounds go from a fender strat to a sg, from the twang of country to rock of acdc and led zep. I would to recommend these to anyone who wants a wide range of tones and sounds from one guitar.
