WOW!
Holy smokes!!! I REALLY like these pickups. I had these installed in my PRS S2 custom 24 and I couldn't be happier. Such a well balanced tone, every note articulates so well even with the most aggresive death metal distortion, its amazing. The bottom end is ferocious yet so well balanced with the highs. They are not just for great metal tones either, the cleans are so thick and… read more warm and just beautiful sounding, I love that neck pickup for my clean tones. I don't often use my coil split but that sounds amazing as well. I'm having so much fun with these. It's really hard to find the words to describe these pickups, they do everything great, you will not be disappointed with this choice. Thank you sweetwater for the excellent customer service and super fast shipping. I'm going back to playing, I had to take a break to write this review, thats how impressed I am.
Amazing
I have years of experience with all kinds of different pickups such as Seymour, fishman, BK, jobetone, dimarzio and pretty much everything out there. These came stock in my PRS dusty waring and boy do they sound huge and complete. If I can compare them to anything, they would be like bk juggernauts if they were on steroids. More power and just bigger sounding overall. They have… read more become my favorite pickup as of yet and I am not even the biggest fan of dusty waring or his band.
Do you like metal? Do you like passive pickups? Look no further
I honestly can't believe how good these pickups are. The gain on my amp sounds so full bodied now, they have a tremendous amount of low end, but still retain a surprising amount of clarity. I was able to get really modern tones like Jason Richardson's tone and I got a good scooped thrash metal tone out of them as well. I wish I could describe more about the versatility of these… read more pickups, but I honestly only really like playing metal. If you're looking at these then you know who BTBAM is and if you know what they sound like then you'll know that Dustie Waring is able to achieve an enormous variety of tones from dozens of different styles and genres of music. Shout out to my man Jordan C.
