Great strings

I've used these on my arch tops for 20 years for jazz. I love the feel of them and the percussive sound I get playing single lines. I also like that they are made by a reputable company with a long history in NY, USA! And that they are environmentally package.

The only guitar strings I use

In the mid 90's I started playing in Eb(down a half-step) because some of the bands I was into did it, so I starting experimenting with heavier strings. Along the way I also tried the coated strings, and liked the lower friction and smoother feel. As time went on, however, I found myself looking for something new. For one thing, the coated strings wore out quicker than I liked. read more Another change was deciding to tune down another half-step to D Standard, which had me looking at heavier gauges than I could find in the coated space. Enter flatwound strings. Since then, I use them on my electric guitars(one 25.5" scale, the other 25", both tuned to D) and my acoustic(25.5", also in D). All use these 13-56 strings. Even my two basses have flatwounds. Try them out!
