Best sounding for a couple days
I've played the following strings: Daddario nickel Daddario NYXL DR Tite Fit Dean Makrley what ever the crap Ernie ball power slinkys Elixir optiweb and probably a few more. The best sounding were the DR tire fits but they got so dirty so quick!!! If you're on tour changing strings daily these are the only option. If you're changing strings once a month I can't recommend these.
I was wrong
I initially reviewed these strings on the 25th and I gave them 4/5. After the strings broke in, they sound much much better and the main reason I reneged my last review is because my guitars are staying in remarkable tune. I put these on a LP and SG, both guitars get played every single day for at least an hour a day each guitar. I always tune my instruments before I play but I've… read more been noticing that they're in perfect tune after hours of play. I used D'Addario for 5 years, Ernie Ball for 3 and now I intend on not only using DR on my electrics but I'm going to try them on my acoustics too.
Good
These strings are good but not as good as the Ernie Ball power slinkies I was using. They still are very good strings though but not enough to make me a repeat customer.
Great String
I like DR Strings a lot. They sound and feel good. They get crusty a bit quickly for me. Would have to change them every few days or every week depending on amount of play. Use them on a semi hollow in standard and drop d. Definitely recommended cheers!
