Love this pedal

I have had many more expensive tape delays and just replaced a Wampler Tape Echo for this. The Wampler is a great pedal with one flaw; in chain after od/drives it clips. Doesn't do this in front but I don't want it in front for obvious reasons. I was very disappointed as I have several Wampler pedals on my board. I run this along with my Carbon Copy and its just beautiful. The Echoplex read more is lush, clean, and hits any spot I desire it too.

Echoplex magic in a tiny box.

I bet the engineers who manufactured the original Echoplex machine back in the 60s & 70s would have never imagined a time when their effects would be possible by just using a tiny box like the Dunlop EP103. This machine captures the original effects so well that it is hard to tell the diference. The volume changes the volume on the trail. When you press down on the knob you have read more the ability to change the modulation/tape age of the effect as needed. The sustain and delay are self explanatory. I love it and it has replaced my other delay pedals. I pluged a tap tempo to make changes in timing convenient. I also added the Dunlop Echoplex Preamp. This will help to adjust the gain before the signal is processesed by the Echoplex delay. I run them on their own effects loop. I'm sure I will be using these for a long time to come. I highly recommend them.

Simple to use and sounds great.

In short, I love this pedal. I paired this with the MXR Tap and it makes it easy to get the tempo right. This pedal sounds really nice the way the repeats are not as clean as other pedals. I can't quite describe how that sounds but it sound like the way my ears want to hear it if that makes sense. It has easy to use controls and is not complicated at all which makes me happy.

Tape delay goodness at your control

When comparing this pedal to others I have owned (mxr carbon copy), I feel this pedal offers far better control of parameters and allows to to really fine tun the level a regenerations. The aging function is an added bonus an can be pleasantly add unpredictable and random artifacts when set high. My two recommendations... 1 the aging knob and powere adapter seems a bit fragile. read more 2 the power adapter should be placed to the back of the unit... not in front of the input jack- it's very tight unless mounted on a pedal board wear the power line can run down or towards the front. The sound of the pedal more than makes up for these design flaws.
