A Lot of Guitar for the Price

The olive drab color is more beautiful in person! Play a chord and the whole thing vibrates, top, back, neck and headstock! I play this thing for hours on end! And it's a joy to noodle around plugged or unplugged. Get one...or two. It's one of those models that you'd regret not getting when it gets discontinued. Buy it now so you won't have to scour web in the future. Add to cart!

Fantastic Guitar

Such a great addition to the collection. The pickups are great. Roll off volume for nice cleans then roll them up and push your amp to some great over driven tones. The finish is super comfortable and easy to play. The visible grain doesn't scream expensive but does work great for playability. If you aren't looking for a beautiful show piece, just a great playing screamer then you read more won't be disappointed.

Worth every dollar.$

Excellent Guitar, I have played it every day for the last two weeks without any issues. The setup was perfect. The P90s sound great. This guitar can handle Jazz and screaming Leslie west blues when the gain is dialed in. Of course, it's a true hollow body so you don't want to point it at the amp when your playing. Adam from Sweetwater provided awesome customer service and the read more Guitar was carefully packed and received with no issues.

This is not a budget guitar. This is a great guitar at a budget price. I have another casino that doesn't compare to this one. The neck is great, it is so light and honestly just looks incredible.due to the pandemic and all the problems with shipping I waited 9 months since I ordered it. Well worth the wait. Thank you Patrick and Sweetwater!

Great Guitar!

This thing is easily worth 4 times the price. The build quality is impeccable. The binding is perfectly flush, the finish is beautiful and evenly applied and the intonation was extremely close out of the box (I only had to move the G string saddle back a bit to set it, all the other strings were perfect). The headstock has a nice molded profile to the sides - this is something read more I haven't seen on other Epiphone guitars. The PRO p90 pickups are fantastic. I have 11 other electrics from an epi 335 to a Gibson Les Paul Traditional to modded teles and strats and I never could quite find that classic clear tone with a thick rich drive when you dig into it that I've been looking for - this Casino has that sound! Every website/listing likes to talk about the Beatles… that comparison doesn't speak to what this guitar is capable of. This is more in line with Gary Clark Jr., The Black Crowes, Jack White and The Allman Brothers Band sounds. Think rich, bluesy rock. It's much cooler than "the Beatles guitar". Plug this sucker into a Vox and you're in business. The C shape neck is very comfortable- it has a flat back with rounded sides. Plus, with the satin finish your hand moves more freely up and down the neck. It's nice to play unplugged too, it's fully hollow so it plays/sounds like a quieter acoustic unplugged. The knobs/pots are really cool looking and work great with no scratching. They have even adjustments - no quick falls after a certain number like you see with others in this price range. They have a cool old school tab to show where you are on the dial (no pictures show this little detail). All in all - super cool vintage vibe, sweet clean tone with a fun roaring bite on the gain - excellent guitar.

No issues at all. Great service

Everything is right about this guitar. No problems anywhere. Finish, action, electronics, everything is 5/5. Great service from my rep too!

Decent Guitar - Definitely not perfect or high end

First - the new PRO pickups sound really good. The guitar is alright but Epiphone cheaped out on some of the hardware. The bridge rattles, the nut is very cheap, the toggle switch is crap, and the tuners aren't great. It's a budget friendly guitar for sure. But, it plays alright regardless and has the sound and look you may be looking for. If you are decent at setups and okay with read more investing ~$100 in materials this could be a killer deal. I love the finish and the normal width neck on these models compared to the glossy ones.

Denim Delight

opened mine yesterday. compared to some unboxing videos I've seen this one was very well packaged for safe shipping. the color in person is a bit deeper than the pictures (but it's great to have bright pictures to see all the detail before buying). I like how Sweetwater also gives you the weight and serial number before buying. so far I'm really enjoying it. I really like the finish. read more like a wood stain. not slippery like a fish. the wife commented on the nice tone and how great it looks. it doesn't sound radically different from my epiphone les Paul studio so maybe I would need a better amp (or higher gain) to notice a big difference between p-90s and humbuckers? I did manage to get a little feedback at one point (p-90s are single coil?). lighter than my les Paul studio (which is good). I've been playing with and without an amp. it's not quite as resonant as my acoustic guitar (I think the top is laminate, not solid) but still very playable without an amp. It was fairly in tune out of the box but I had a bit of trouble getting the D string to settle down (kept seeing E and D# on my tuner). maybe it just takes time to wear in the strings. she has a big belly and when it's on my lap I find it helpful to have the belly resting against the couch. I might get a strap (forgot to order one with it). the volume knobs don't seem to kick in until you hit about 1.5 I got a courtesy call from Sweetwater (my rep is Michael Barden) to make sure everything was ok. great guitar and looking forward to many happy hours together. thank you Sweetwater!

Great bang for your buck

Finish is killer, pickups sound great. Playability out of the box... is killer. Don't get me wrong set up was needed but for small things you'd get from a guitar worth 3-4 times as much. My only gripe is the saddle piece is a bit loose on the treble side, but for the price the thing really is great. The neck profile is interesting, thin yet square feeling I've never played anything read more like it before, it's plays very fast. Also another plus is the pots have a fantastic tapper.Over all this guitar is the best bang for the buck I've seen in a long time.
