Excellent Guitar, I have played it every day for the last two weeks without any issues. The setup was perfect. The P90s sound great. This guitar can handle Jazz and screaming Leslie west blues when the gain is dialed in. Of course, it's a true hollow body so you don't want to point it at the amp when your playing. opened mine yesterday. compared to some unboxing videos I've seen this one was very well packaged for safe shipping. the color in person is a bit deeper than the pictures (but it's great to have bright pictures to see all the detail before buying). I like how Sweetwater also gives you the weight and serial number before buying. so far I'm really enjoying it. I really like the finish.… read more like a wood stain. not slippery like a fish. the wife commented on the nice tone and how great it looks. it doesn't sound radically different from my epiphone les Paul studio so maybe I would need a better amp (or higher gain) to notice a big difference between p-90s and humbuckers? I did manage to get a little feedback at one point (p-90s are single coil?). lighter than my les Paul studio (which is good). I've been playing with and without an amp. it's not quite as resonant as my acoustic guitar (I think the top is laminate, not solid) but still very playable without an amp. It was fairly in tune out of the box but I had a bit of trouble getting the D string to settle down (kept seeing E and D# on my tuner). maybe it just takes time to wear in the strings. she has a big belly and when it's on my lap I find it helpful to have the belly resting against the couch. I might get a strap (forgot to order one with it). the volume knobs don't seem to kick in until you hit about 1.5 I got a courtesy call from Sweetwater (my rep is Michael Barden) to make sure everything was ok. great guitar and looking forward to many happy hours together. thank you Sweetwater!
