I was hesitant at first in ordering this guitar as a player of Gibson 335s, but was not disappointed. The guitar arrived pretty much set up. Action was good, intonation slightly out. Some people don't like the pickups but they are decent and I will keep them in. The finish is superb and the Indian Laurel fret board is not bad at all! I love the smaller headstock vintage tuners. read more The color is a personal choice but the blueberry burst with some purple in it is gorgeous!

Looks and plays great! It's hard to have a good idea on how much the colors pop until you see it in person. Well worth the wait! Thanks so much to Sweetwater, my sales engineer Ray in particular

Fantastic value on a beautiful looking and sounding guitar

Was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of these gems. First of all they sound great no problems at all with the pick ups in my opinion. Great variety of tones attainable from this instrument. Second this is one of the prettiest guitars I have ever seen, the pictures do not adequately show the real beauty of these instruments. Just ordered a case for this beauty from Sweetwater, read more I cannot overstate the quality of the service I have received from Sweetwater and Cody Kraus in particular.

Fell short..

I got one of these with very high hopes. I used to own a Gibson 335 and have missed it very much. I heard the Epiphone models have really stepped up their game. While that is true of some Epiphone models, this one fell short of all my hopes. The color is BEAUTIFUL, but it had staining and finish issues in several spots. The f-holes especially, they looked like they were cut out read more in a hurry with a jigsaw then painted to hide the jagged edges. Where it really hurt was the fretwork. It came with high action, so I lowered it to my preference. It buzzed all over the place. No amount of truss-rod adjustment would fix it. The frets just were NOT level. Plus the pickups were very dull and lifeless sounding. So knowing I would need to have the frets filed/crowned/polished and upgrade the pickups, combined with the finish issues I just could not justify keeping it with how much $$$ I would have to put into it to get it where I wanted it. That's my experience, your mileage may very. Cheers!
