I am 72 years of age and have played professionally since the age of 16. This is a fantastic guitar and agree with the comment about the great sustain and sound generated by the size and pickups. My guitar arrived two weeks ago and I have played it two hours a day each day in anticipation of a concert I will perform on June 12, 2022. I am blown away by the responsiveness of the read more neck and quality of sound I am able to produce. I currently own two Gibsons which are great guitars but this Epiphone is a treasure . I highly recommend this guitar to a serious player of acoustic electric guitars, the finish is awesome and agree that you should buy the Gator hard shell case to protect this beauty. Also kudos to Kris at Sweetwater for taking such good care of me again. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this great guitar, just wish I could do an advertisement for it.

I am very happy with my new EJ-200EC acoustic/electric Epiphone. The highs are super-bright and the lows are deep. The sustain is excellent. The action is spot-on, smooth and comfortable ! I am typically a smaller-body guitar owner/player but this one opens new avenues of sound & playability for me! Also It looks incredibly beautiful with all its detail and appointments! The Epiphone read more hard shell case was also purchased from SW and is a perfect fit. My EJ-200EC arrived 2 days early (standard free shipping-thank you Sweetwater) ...and good job Epiphone !

Forget the price tag on Epiphone's inspired by Gibson series. I own both brands and the Epiphone J-200EC plays as well and sounds as good as some of my more expensive guitars in my home studio! Epiphone really stepped up their game at a reasonable price point. Thank you Sweetwater and Epiphone! Please don't stop what you are doing. Capt ASBello

I received my guitar today and was very pleased with the packaging and care Sweetwater took to ensure my order wasn't damaged. The guitar itself was just perfect even down to being set up like I like. Whoever set up the guitar during inspection did a great job. I have bought 5 guitars from Sweetwater and multiple other items and have always been please with their service and read more products. Highly recommend Sweetwater if you are considering a purchase. The Epiphone EJ200sce is an amazing instrument. Well built, great big sound, and plays easily. It's also one of the most beautiful guitars around. In addition, the built in tuner is the best I've ever seen and it sounds great through an amp. If you're a professional who gigs constantly and records and plays amazingly I suppose you could go for the Gibson J200. But for almost read more anyone else, this guitar will more than fit the bill.

I bought this new and online from Sweetwater. I knew what I wanted and talked to Joe my sales rep and was a bit apprehensive I admit but in the end pleasantly surprised to find I should never have worried at all. I love this guitar and my Martin is getting jealous! Great intonation right out of the box. This guitar should cost a lot more than it does and puts to shame the notion read more of "you get what you pay for". Even the electronics seem to be exceptional in quality. I recommend this guitar to anyone who wants that big jumbo Gibson sound without the big Gibson price!

My DREAM guitar

I walked into my guitar store recently intentionally to go view and play the cutaway version with pickup of this guitar but then the salesperson pointed out that he had one on the wall without the cutaway and pickup and I instantly felt my heart race and said if I could have a play of it,as soon as I sat on a stool and began to hold it and strum it I knew right then and there that read more it was coming home with me,this beautiful guitar had to be mine.I absolutely love this acoustic and after many years of searching for that so called elusive guitar and changing so many,I now finally feel that I've found THE ONE and don't really feel the desire to ver change it again. This is my baby, whom I've named Maybelline.

I own a Gibson SJ200 Studio Walnut that I had sent back for some tune ups. I had let the instrument become a little dehydrated from my time in the dry Texas desert climate. I purchased the Epi model to get me by on a few gigs, and serve as a backup, or a banger guitar. It IS NOT a Gibson, and side by side you can tell the difference, as you should. But this is undoubtedly THE BEST read more looking and playing and sounding instrument in its price class that I have personally ever played.(over 50 years). And although it's not the Gib, it sits on the stand next to it, and I will grab it just as fast. This is a really fun guitar to play. SUPER JUMBOS RULE!

Great guitar!

I'd bought a used EJ200CE in Vintage Sunburst from a local guy a few months back, and loved it, but decided to sell it and come pick up an SCE in Natural on my annual Labor Day trip to Fort Wayne. Alas, the last Natural Sweetwater had was sold within hours of my arrival! I came to buy a guitar, though, and Greg Baum was terrific to work with. I demoed the EJ and an AJ45ME he brought read more out for me, as well as a couple of Gibsons that were literally (way up high on display) and economically out of my reach. For my money, that day, the EJ200SCE was the way to go, and it's just sounding even better the more I play it. Taking nothing away from the AJ45 - there is a difference with all solid top, back, and sides, plus the bone nut and saddle. But I love the looks of this one, and will probably upgrade the nut and saddle anyway. Plus, it just looks awesome to me -- understated it is not. As a player, I'm not much, but this one makes everything sound good and look good too. Thoroughly satisfied!

All I can say is WOW! I am so pleased with my new Epi. Perhaps it is the guitar, perhaps it is the 55 point inspection, perhaps it is luck. In the 35 years I have been playing guitar I have never had a more playable axe straight out of the box. Opening the box I was blown away by the quality, and the smell of maple! I hit my first open E and what can I say instant wood and immediately read more I fell in love with it. What a great axe I can't say it enough, and it should be at least double the price, but shhhhh don't tell anyone...wink wink.
