Worth the bucks
After years of use, my Fender Acoustasonic wasw getting tired; or maybe I was just tired of it. Anyway I read the reviews, see-sawed back and forth.(Dang, thats expensive!), and finally pulled the trigger on an ERA 1. What a delight! Clean, Clean, Clean. Powerful too. Only problem is, your flubs come through, crystal clear. For most of you folks who NEVER miss a note, that… read more won't be a problem. What I like best is that it does not color the sound unless you want to fool with the EQ. But set the EQ at twelve o'clock and you hear your acoustic guitar just like it sounds un-amped. Matter of fact, I initially had to check to make sure the thing was on. Great little amp. Did I mention powerful?
They do acoustic?
Yes and the do it well.. not the 1st name that comes to mind for acoustic amps but they crushed it!! Beautiful warm natural tone, very small package(smaller than you think)it"s 4 channel each of the 1st 2 identical channels have their own EQ and 13 presets with different delays, reverb, chours, FX volume for each, master volume, notch filter knob,an effects loop and that"s just the… read more main 2. Plenty of volume at 200 watts..From what I"ve read it"s all high end components and one 8" speaker..I didn"t buy it for this but it also does vocals amazingly well.. singer songwriters dream.. the only reason I didn"t give it 5 stars are the knobs, there very tiny .In a dark setting may be tough to adjust but it"s so good that negative fades pretty quickly.. Love the handle designs and it feels built like a tank, nice padded cover as well.. if you were going to spend say 650-700 on an acoustic amp.. wait and save for this.. Have to thank Tyler! 2nd great recommendation on an amp, I would have never thought to try this but I am telling you hughes and Kettner are not messing around this is a hell of an amp.. if you want or need more power the era 2 has double the power double the speakers. Hope this helps..
