Perfect for singer/songwriter.

Sound is clean, fantastic. Plenty of headroom/features for vocal/flattop solo act. House concert; placed "Edwina" (condenser mic) on the front edge of a 6' round rug, plugged in just the one XLR that caught both vocal & acoustic. Placed head off to the side about 12' & no feedback issues. No monitor needed. Holy cow; sounds wonderful.

Sweetwater rocks !

Have been purchasing most of my gear from Sweetwater for years , and have always received my orders quickly, sometimes even sooner than I expected. And if I have needed to return an item, it's pretty much hassle free. And Matt Alexander , our go to guy, always follows up to make sure I am happy with the order and to find out if I have any questions. This amp was going to be a practice read more amp, but after playing through it for a couple hours , I think it's going to be used out for my smaller venues . Great sound, and clarity , all the effects I need , and so much lighter than the amp I have been using. Quality built ,and hopefully will last a long time

ERA-1 Delivers

My reason for this purchase was not to pair this amp with an acoustic guitar. I had demoed and purchased a PRS SE II Hollowbody Piezo and really liked the guitar. The Piezo pick up sounded horrible to me thru my Marshall ASD 50, and that amp makes my J45 sound pretty nice. The mag pick up sounded nice thru a Fender Blues Jr but that's not why I bought the guitar. When the ERA-1 read more arrived I plugged into the piezo and was thrilled with the result. The amp allows toning down the guitar to a really nice amplified acoustic sound and I love all the different effects. My acoustic guitars also sound phenomenal thru it as does a Godin Kingpin II arch top. When paired with the BJ it sounds like two guitars. I could not be more pleased with this amp. FWIW I just use this at home, I have no intentions of playing out with it other than with some buddies, it will however get very loud.

Very nice amp for studio, cafe, low volume jamming with band but here comes the but ! If you perform live theres a problem. I used the amplifier era 1 as a personal monitor and i found out it did not sound loud enough or just didn't get enough weight coming from the speakers to satisfy me. Lets face it its 250 watts but only an 8 inch speaker. So, I had to return it. I tried a read more Roland KC 600 and it blew me away I guess. It just depends on what you need it for. P.S I used an bajo quinto when performing.

This is is one of the most amazing Acoustik amps I've ever owned. I've owned a pendulum sp1 for years and I have several vintage guitars with trans audio pickups in them, but it takes forever to dial in the right tone. This little gem I can plug in any guitar I have and within a couple seconds I've got the exact tone of the guitar. I'm actually thinking of buying its Big Brother. read more You're one of my best investments
