If you've ever played a Stingray then you know how well built and how good these instruments sound. I picked mine up the first day they were available back in June 2021, insanely great sounding. A few notches off for: the pre-amp sucks thru batteries like crazy, have extra batteries around at all times, the battery compartment just snapped on me while changing batteries during a… read more session, total loss. The battery compartment is cheaply made with very loose parts and cheap plastic. Not every type of 9 volt will fit in this slot so keep that in mind when replacing batteries. The material under the knobs and pre-amp switch is also very cheap plastic, wish they had made that piece out of metal of more durable material. Overall this is an amazing bass and it's a monster once you switch on the Darkglass pre-amp.
