Built for Melodic Death Metal

I've had this guitar for about 3 months now and have used it to record the guitar tracks for the new album I'm working on. It's literally everything I expected. The neck is super fast and plays effortlessly! This is the greatest feature to me because I was looking for a guitar that played like my ESP LTD M-1000 Deluxe. There's also a lot of clarity with this guitar, and I attribute… read more much of that to the EMG 707 pickups. I've played other 7 strings that sounded muddy but I this guitar makes every note pronounced. This is crucial for riffing on those lower notes. To me, it's perfect for melodic death metal (and other like-sub genres of metal). I also play a lot of classic thrash metal, so it works quite well for that too. Best Guitar I’ve Owned Thus Far!

Now I’ve always been a huge fan of ESP, my go to brand. Been very curious about the E-ll line of instruments. Heard many good things. Saw this Horizon 7 string and had to get it! And let me tell you, I’m blown away! The quality is on par to better than my ESP custom which is amazing considering the price for this guitar. Couldn’t find a single flaw! This Horizon actually plays… read more better in my opinion. So smooth, neck feels great and as always the fretwork is perfect! Of course the set of emgs deliver the tone you need! Great for shredding and all playing alike! I still can’t put it down it’s just that amazing!
