Good materials were used on this guitar, solid as a rock! The Fishman pickups don't have the gain or clarity that EMG's do. They are mediocre at best. Love the ebony fretboard and stainless steel frets. Unfortunately the quality controls and craftsmanship isn't worth a darn. It has a lot of flaws in binding and the maple top for this price! Not up to LTD Deluxe standards… read more for sure - Indonesian made. Had to spend several hours adjusting the tremolo level, string height and tension, pickup height, action, truss rod, etc. At this price this many adjustments shouldn't be needed. The luthiers seemed to just slap the pieces together without attention to detail or having pride in what they made. Disappointed for sure!

I was looking for a 7-string with a Floyd Rose and active pickups, and this guitar checked all of the boxes. After spending time with the guitar, I can say it is incredible. I play metal, and have been playing my Gibson Les Paul pretty much exclusively for the past 10ish years. I have not been able to pick up my Les Paul since getting this guitar. It plays very smooth, the neck… read more allows for easy access to each of the seven strings, and plays very aggressively when you want it too. The finish is beautiful and it feels great when playing. I've been playing a variety of music, from carcass to haken since purchasing and it works perfectly across the metal spectrum. I can't endorse this guitar enough.

The efinish on this guitar isn't 100% perfect (some rough spots), but that's all I can find wrong. Frets are level and well dressed, Fishman pickups are awesome, and the Floyd rose, while there's room for improvement/upgrades, doesn't feel any different than an original / hotrod, with the stainless upgrades.

This 7 string is honestly the most amazing guitar I have ever played. I searched for a quality 7 string with active pickups, FR Tremelo, satin neck for fast playing and a solid body thin profile for under $2500. I have found the holy grail with this LTD and for half of the price! For reference, I play a metal. Sound is amazing. The active pickups are hot as hell and scream like… read more no other. I am normally a Schecter customer but I think I have converted. As always, Sweetwater provided excellent customer service; they setup the guitar to my liking with low action before shipping. I couldn't have had a better experience.
