Love it so far
There's nothing else is really like it. This bass really punches through the mix. The best thing you could do is watch the video review to get an idea of how versatile this bass performs. I will say it isn't really an acoustic bass and must be amplified to be heard, but that's probably how everyone would use it anyway.
Nice
Got this Bass today. Centered the Bass, Mid and Treble on the guitar and plugged it into my Hartke HD-50. After a few minutes of work with the tone on both the amp and guitar I was able to get a really nice sound. It's a different voice for a Bass but I like it. Then plugged into my "David Eden" DI and through my mixer with headphones. Lots of distortion. It took several minutes… read more but final found the right mix with no distortion. Defiantly need to spend time working with it but that's be expected. Then went thought my "Hartke Bass Attack 2". No distortion but need to spend more time working with it to get the right tone / sound. Took it to Church this evening for Good Friday service. Everyone on the worship team like it. Even a few of the congregation complemented the new sound. Yea it has a different voice but I like it. Now I need a good Gig Bag. Thanks Drew Dave
First Acoustic Bass
Diving off into new territory I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Besides looking good in the photos it looks even better in the hand and plays like a dream. It was okay as it was when I unpackaged it but I had to tweak it just a little, the same as you would any instrument. I was leery about buying it on-line, the same as buying boots you can't try on but… read more I was needlessly worried. This is a great bass and will give me that extra and different tone in our group.
Nice Bass!
Great sounding bass and easy to play!
ESP LTD TL-5 Bass Guitar - Natural
I had no idea that this thing existed. I stumbled on it one day on the Sweetwater web page and bought it almost instantly. Part of that is because I have a thing for acoustic instruments, basses in particular. I instantly saw quite a few situations where this would come in handy. It sounds good, but not particularly acoustic although not really electric either, but in a good way.… read more The set up from Sweetwater wasn't to my liking so my local guy fixed it up and now it plays like the proverbial "butter". I've gigged with it many times now, with my singer/acoustic player friend and I've played it several times on acoustic sets at church. It sounds great! Playing it makes me happy and that's what counts. It seems to be well made, no weird quality issues, good electronics, good tuner, good strings. I wish it came with a good gig bag, but it doesn't. Don't expect much acoustic volume from it though, it's meant to be plugged in for sure. Highly recommended.
