Without a doubt the best choice for my Strat. sweetwater has the goods and Dave Murkowski is the man!
Really Are Everything
Recently I was in search for some pickups to replace my Fender Noiseless pickups that also included the Mid-Boost and was powered with a 9 volt battery. I didn't want another set of pickups that where active but yet I wanted something that was versatile, that could clean up to get a nice 50's or 60's clarity to a really warm, hot sustain to cover more aggressive rock. So, I thought… read more I would give these a try. To be honest I couldn't be happier, they do exactly what I need them to do with all the clean articulations that I was looking for in the clean tones as well as the kick you in the head sustain that I was always looking for and that's without using any CTS split pots (which is a nice option if you are so inclined to go that route). I chose not to split these pickups just because I wanted to keep things simple, for me, these work. So if you're looking for some pickups that will literally do everything and more, doesn't break the bank and offers you flexibility with the option of splitting the neck and bridge pickups, then I would highly recommend these. I currently have these in 2 of my Strats, a '56 reissue and a '58 reissue custom shop., pictured here.
Worth it
I spent a lot of time looking for new pickups to put in my strat. I wanted to get humbuckers but also wanted a single coil for that tight rhythm guitar sound. After a long search, I settled on these as they had everything I wanted. I was completely blown away by them. The two humbuckers sound incredible. The neck has a nice fat, dark tone, and the bridge has such an aggressive kick… read more to it. The middle still keeps that single coil sound I wanted but with the added benefit of it being noiseless. Zero regrets, total satisfaction.

The ALL-IN-WONDER
I put this set in an american standard strat build along with a push/pull coil split that turns the bridge and neck into a single coil - I HIGHLY recommend this setup for these pickups. Very, very happy with the results. The bridge humbucker is very versatile and medium output. To me, Twin-blade style mini bridge humbuckers were way too hot for a good strat sound, leaving chords… read more and notes dull and thuddy. Not a big fan of Dimarzio because of this. The mini JB bridge is medium output and actually sounds REALLY GOOD for cleans, and with a coil split installed, you can get single/hum selections with the Duckbucker middle pickup, and they sound AWESOME for chicken picking and snappy country licks, dare I say getting close to a Telecaster middle pickup selection sound. My band is a bit of an odd duck, we go from funk to country to indie shoegaze, and these pickups nail anything I want. I can get deep hard rock (bridge or neck HB), glassy funk (Bridge SC/Middle HB), clucky country picking (Middle HB or Mid HB/Neck SC), and I swear I only have to bring 1 guitar to a gig! You will not be disappointed if you want all the options. Get the push pull coil split and you get 9 options!!!!!
