Wound 3rd string
I put the first set of EXL110w on my G&L Asat yesterday, and I am very pleased with the sound and playability. I especially am pleased with the wound 3rd string.
Very Good On My 2019 Godin A6
I tried many strings and these sound the best on my Godin A6. Very comfortable to play in the 10's. Very well balanced.
1950's pickups!
I got a new bridge pickup for my telecaster. and the spec sheet said the pole pieces on these are set for a wound 3rd like the originals, made in the 1950's. I said great since I prefer wound 3rd's. ALSo these are the only brand I can find?
I will play nothing else
High quality strings that maintain tone at a killer price. The wound G has saved me hours of tuning problems. Even on a set of light strings, the G is still too heavy a gauge to be plain. Wound G should be the standard, highest of recommends.
Godin Ultra A6 Stock Strings
Bright and holds its tone for a long time. Excellent quality and packaging. These come stock on the Ultra A6 because they have a wound 3rd (required to maintain intonation) and are nickel which work with the A6's humbucker pickup (phosphor bronze will not).
