D'Addario EXL115 (11's)
If you have 10's on your guitar and want a little extra boom, get these strings. They don't feel too big and you can bend them with no problem. I'm using these for drop D and drop Db. They just have a bigger fatter tone compared to anything lighter.
Best electric strings
I love the gauges in this string set. Small strings bend too easily and have wimpy tone. The EXL115 have a fat tone, are nice and bright, and work well for country, blues, and classic rock. I can play about 3 4-hour gigs before I feel the need to change them...and I play often. D'Addario also color codes the string ends so there's never a question if you have the high B and E strings… read more reversed. It seems I get different packaging every time I buy these. Some times there is an individual sleeve for a set, sometimes there are 10 sleeves in a box, sometimes it get the special shrink-wrap for a set, and others I get a set of 10 shrink wrap in the a box. The key is the special shrink wrap used by D'Addario that is air-tight. This means you can buy in bulk - get a much cheaper price per set - and keep them fresh for a long time. With my playing schedule, I'll go through a set of 10 in a couple of months.
Love 'em
