Best bass I've ever played

Shark

I've been playing bass since the 70's, and have played in a number of cover rock bands over that time. I've played a wide variety of basses but I'm mostly a P-bass man. I'm getting a bit older now and weight was becoming an issue for me with long rehearsals and gigging. I dismissed the Aerodyne some years ago and came back to it for a second look. It's a beautiful bass and it works read more very well with my stage wear. I couldn't find one in any of my local guitar shops so I took a chance and ordered mine through my sales engineer Mason Moss. Mason shipped it out to me the next day and it was at my door three days later. I've been playing this bass since (about a month at the time of this writing) and I can report that the Aerodyne has almost immediately become my go-to bass. I'm playing it exclusively for gigging (other than by back-ups that are in various drop tunings.) It sounds like a beast with great clarity and midrange. I changed out the strings to my favorites *DR Sunbeams*. I'm also running a bass comp along with some effects pedals, but at the end of the day this bass has exceeded all my expectations. Love the fast jazz neck, the noticeable lighter weight from my P-bass, the badass look, and of course the great tones. With both the P and J pickup combo I can get all the tones I need for the various hard rock, metal, power ballads we play in my current band. I'm a believer in the Fender Aerodyne. Thanks Mason Moss and Sweetwater.

This is my first and only bass, so I don't have much to compare it to. That being said, I've been playing six string guitars for many years and own a handful of those. I've owned American, Japanese and Korean made instruments and this bass is well built. I wanted to be able to add bass lines to my loops and amateur recordings and it's working out nicely. Very light weight instrument, read more feels much lighter than my Stratocaster and Les Paul Studio. I suggest using a strap even while sitting as there is some slight neck dive without. Paired with a Fender Rumble 40, it shakes my small man cave studio! I'm happy I added a bass to my instrument collection instead of another six string.

Very consistent instrument

I bought this right before a 6 week tour and it didn't let me down once. Sounds AMAZING through my rig, looks great and weighs almost nothing for a bass. Also the shipping was very quick. 10/10 would recommend getting this

I have 3 Fender American made basses. I have to say this made in Japan bass sounds and plays better than the American basses. It's a no frills instrument but yet extremely beautiful. If you want a bass that is as far as I'm concerned the best out there. Get a Fender Aerodyne!

Plays like butter

Unbelievably lightweight bass. Neck is fast, real fast and while I prefer a larger neck radius on a guitar, the smaller radius feels natural on the bass. As for sounds, there are many inside this beast and they are easy to unlock. I saved the most obvious for last. This is, without a doubt, a very sharp looking ax, elegant and sophisticated. Would I buy this again, absolutely!
