American Fender
Absolutely love this bass. Its everything I had hoped it would be and then some. David got it out and into my hands in record time too. Thank you , David! Thank you Sweetwater!
Love this bass
Was looking for a first bass to work on my own low-end and try something new. This bass really delivers a lot of tone and punch for what it is! Look up "PJ Bass Blindfold Quiz" on YouTube and tell me you can't hear this bass! So much clarity in every tone option, from funky P-bass to something a little more full bodied, I really get the feeling this model will last me a long time.… read more And also big thanks to Sweetwater for the sick setup, intonation and action is a perfect A++
Frets turned green
Frets turned green after being stored in the case for a couple of months. Extremely disappointed that they would use a corrosive metal for the frets. Of all the guitars I've owned, from cheap to expensive, I've never seen the frets turn green. Would not recommend this bass.
My First P-Bass
This bass is a beautiful instrument. The finish is cool because of its vintage history. This is my second bass and I am looking forward to growing as a musician.
Frustratingly Good ;-)
I bought this bass while going to music school. My main (also a Fender P) was damaged and I needed to be able to keep up with class. My wife encouraged me to take the opportunity to get something nice and, boy howdy, did I end up doing that. I've spent the last year shopping for basses because I want one, but I've yet to find anything that creates a tone that this bass can't cover.… read more Turn the tone down, switch to the P pickup and you've got classic flatwound tone. Open it all up and it's modern, almost like an ibanez or schecter (tweak a little and you can go to either place). Switch to Jazz with the tone up and you'd think you had a jazz bass. The feel and fit play like a dream. This bass is frustrating in that I now don't have any excuse to get a new one, possibly ever...
Very nice
This is a very good playing bass. I have a few basses but this is my favorite one. Love the sound that it puts out. Can't go wrong with getting one.
The One Bass
I've had this for over 2 years. My son coined the term "The One Bass" for a Lord of the Rings reference because I baby it. I love the classic tones. Neck at 100% and bridge at 75 with tone knob 50 to 75% will do it up right. It's just a lovely bass. The hardware is high quality and doesn't feel cheep. I play through SanSamp DI at church. Nothing but great things to say about it.
Immediate smile
For 28 years I've been playing and this THE FIRST time I've ever picked up a bass and immediately smiled. Absolute perfect feel, fit and sound. Its so perfect that I'm purchasing her sister, the Lake Placid Blue model, today. fender nailed it with this guitar!
Completely Satisfied
My shopping experience with Sweetwater and my sales engineer, Dontae Harris far exceeded my expectations on my purchase of a Fender Precision Bass. He was always right there to answer questions I had, and ensured I got exactly what I was looking for. I could have bought this item directly from the manufacturer, but Sweetwater gave me the best possible price on my gear. First Fender and I am loving it.
I've wanted one for a long time now and I'm happy I finally went ahead and pull the trigger on the purchase. I was nervous about buying one without physically trying it out, but I couldn't be happier. It is light enough to play standing for 2 hours or more a night. The only problem I've had with this Bass is that I don't ever want to put it down. Also, the people at Sweetwater… read more are awesome. After I made my purchase I was contacted by Sam who didn't just give up when I didn't answer the phone but was good enough to talk over texts to make sure I was good to go and had everything I needed as well as giving me a point of contact for any questions or concerns I may have. The professional photoshoot pics of your new guitar is a really nice thing to have too because this beauty is something you want to show off to your friends and family asap.
Great bass for the studio and live
I purchased the P bass as a studio bass. There's a reason session musicians play P basses, they sound like what you expect a bass should sound like. The bass came perfectly in tune and ready to rock!
