I currently on one of these and wouldn't part with it. Apparently the original owner did, as I found it after its very brief stint on the wall at my local guitar center. I bought it the same year it was made, in original condition and still set up to perfection. It feels and looks great. The light relic is not only tasteful but a thing of beauty. The finish checking especially. read more On to the neck: WOW. Feels amazing and I love the tinted lacquer. But it's a little heavy compared to the roasted alder body, so there is noticeable dive. I find this a little disappointing from a custom shop guitar. It might be worth making a note to the builders if you decide you want one. All in all, it's one of my finest instruments. I'm so glad we crossed paths.

The greatest bass I have ever played

I have played bass for 25 years. I have played in several different types of bands and jammed with many people and used a wide variety of bass gear. I have owned and played American Vintage Precision basses, a Custom Shop 60s Jazz bass, a Rickenbacker 4003, a Gibson Thunderbird, an active Fender Flea bass, sever top quality parts basses, and Ernie Ball Sterling. This FCS P surpasses read more them all. By a mile. At first the differences seem subtle, especially compared to the AV Precision basses. The feel of the neck, the sound. The way it plays. But as I play this bass, the subtle differences begin to stand out more and more. The feel, the look, the sound of this bass are all legendary. It genuinely may be the best bass on the planet. If you told me Odin himself made this bass and the final step in production was having it christened with a bolt of lightening, I would absolutely believe it. This is the bass of basses. It plays itself. It does no wrong. It is the kingmaker. It is Excalibur.

Nailed it
