Coming from an Ibanez GIO that suddenly crapped out on me, the guys at SweetWater were amazing in having me return the GIO and I opted to upgrade to a Fender. I was torn between Jazz Bass or the P Bass. Excellent sound and extremely comfortable. Hard to beat the quality & price on this monster. As always Tom took care of us. Definitely recommend this product.

I had no need for a jazz bass but wanted to add one in the collection. I had Sweetwater install the Aguilar hum canceling pickups and I’m glad I did, for not much money I really upgraded the sound of this bass and no hum! I ended up changing the bridge to a cheap vintage style with flat head saddle screws and the slots to adjust for string spacing. I was able to set it up reasonably… read more low action. I also did change the tuners for some hip shot lollipop style, but that’s more cosmetic than functional. The stock tuners are fine, just a little stiff. Great beat around bass or backup.

I didn't want to spend $2000 on a bass, so went with this one. Wow! Great choice! I love the sound and feel of this bass. I'm looking forward to playing the daylights out of it. lol
