Outstanding Bass

I have played bass guitar and Used Guitars from five different manufacturers. When it comes down to the point, Fender produces the best product bar none. I love the Steve Harris Bass, has a great sound, great look and great play ability. Someone told me that it was a really heavy Bass but it didn't bother me at all. My style is classic rock and this bass pits in perfect. Can't say read more more about it love it

My Dream Bass

What can I say? This has it all from my favorite bassist, Steve Harris!! The Maple Neck and Maple Body, its heavy as heck but the sound is nothing like my other P Bass or any other P bass I have played. Clarity, massive sustain that goes on for day and when digging in you can get this to growl, its where its at. I quickly swapped out the fender strings for the included Rotosound read more Flatwound SH77 (I use in all my bass guitars) The heavy gauge strings fit perfectly on the nut, no adjustments needed. Fender High Mass Bridge is a big plus, I use it on my other bass guitars, excellent for sustain. The seymour duncan SPB 4 PU really put out the kick on this bass. This bass is Made In Mexico, I cant believe it!! It sounds on par with a made in the USA, no kidding. excellent QC, attention to detail and the finish is just mind blowing. I wish all Made in Mexico bass guitars are as good as this one on a consistent basis. I run this through my Tech 21 SH-1 and it sounds like, well, the tone of Steve Harris. I cant nor ever play as good as him but I can sure get in the ballpark with the lower action, clanking and the gallop. If you are a fan of Steve Harris or you want a solid Maple Body and neck, this is for you. Based on a 1970's Fender P bass with the upgraded hardware, this really kicks it up a notch!! Thank you Sweetwater and thank you Jack Wellington. Customer service is #1

Iv'e pinned for a fender p since 1 985,& that chrome pickguard to boot! I'm turning 49 in july & I just got my Harris signature.Im getting another one soon.It even came with a set of S Harris flats..P.S. I love the maple body & that fender made it possible for me to travel back in time to buy a new 70's bass

If it weren’t for Steve Harris...

I have never been a fan of Fender Guitars or Basses. I have always leaned toward Musicman Stingrays. That was until I saw this bass. I picked up a bass because of Steve Harris and Iron Maiden. I remember hearing the opening to the Trooper the first time and saying to myself "Whoa!!" I had never heard anything like it. So it only logical for me to order this bass and see read more why my hero played a P Bass. This bass is a beast and has tons of sustain, and the pickup drives heavy with miss and treble. This bass is a beast with a fast neck and jumbo frets. GET THIS BASS IF YOU WANNA PLAY HARD AND LOUD. An added bonus is that there are strap locks in the bag along with a pack of Steve"s signature Rotosound Strings. (Comes with round wound fender strings on it).

First off, I'm a 30+ year guitar player and have only messed around with a bass occasionally. I have been doing some recording lately so it was time to get an instrument that made me want to play bass. I'm probably easily the biggest Iron Maiden fan around my area no doubt but what grabbed me initially was the price and features. It is simple with a nice set of pickups and hardware. read more Perfect for me and I've always admired a Fender Precision anyway. I had my Luthier smoke it over and install the Steve Harris Rotosound strings that came with it. These are a huge step up in tone from the strings that came on it. This bass is a beast now. Very good sustain and it can give that Harris thump but also mellow out from the volume and tone knobs. I have been obsessed with the instrument since its arrival. Really am enjoying playing it and is a nice change of pace from guitar. Makes a you think different. It's a workout for sure though. With these strings this is a man's instrument for sure. Also, the pictures are nice but in person this is a great looking bass. Very unique. Totally happy with the purchase. It will serve me well for my needs.
