Best pickups ever.
Out of anything I've ever tried. I LOVE these pickups. They sound so good on literally everything. I've actually preferred the classics to my modern set. And I play modern rock/metal. They're awesome.
Very Good Pickups
Got a pair of these for a Epiphone Les Paul project guitar. Wow. They are pretty amazing. Definitely a very new and innovative product. Zero hum (even for a humbucker). They can do about any style of music. Crystal clears to dirt. I have a Kemper Profiling amplifier and can throw dozens of amp models at them. Then can pretty much do whatever I want, better than the other guitars… read more I have. Very responsive controls. Kind of like a sports car... they go where you take it. Small adjustments really make a difference. The 2 sets of voicings work great. It is not a gimmick. On "Voice One", you get great historic PAF tones on both bridge and neck. "Voice two", and you get a very near acoustic sound on the neck. And the bridge becomes more of a modern humbucker. (but not heavy metal gain modern).Installation - Unless you are pretty good with a soldering iron, you may want to have professional install them. It is not over complicated, and Fishman has fantastic youtube videos that walk your through it step by step. But working in control cavities can be tight work. And I had to do some work to enlarge the holes for the control pots and for the input jack. I have an electronics background, and do a lot of woodworking. Took me about 2 hours, but I took it really slow, and checked connections each step of the way.I would highly recommend these. One of your guitars deserve them. I can't wait for the Fluence pickups for telecasters to come out. Got a tele I have had for a while, that I have never really liked the pickups.
