Awesome
Everything came to my front door when it was supposed to, and I had a great feeling the whole time that I was supported if it came to that.
Nice pickups
Very clear and articulate, if u like a muddy and saturated pickup these arent for you, dont get me wrong they will allow tons of gain to ring through but so do your notes. Chords will sing with these through my peavey 3120 with 6l6 power tubes and mesa preamp tubes
So so
I ended up with a set of these after owning the Devin Townsend set and Will Adler sets. The Will Adler set was amazing for metal- but that is it! Terrible for clean tones in the real world (my opinion). The Devin Townsend set (I still own) literally does it all perfectly. Classic, high gain, single coil-just pure perfection. The Keith Merrow set left me wanting more "grunt/power".… read more It sounds ok with my evh 5150 iii 50 watt but unless you have a $3,000 Rev Generator amp like what Keith uses I just don"t think they are for us "mere mortals" aka regular people with regular rigs. I wanted so bad to love these and ended up having to sell them.
Wow!
I am blown away. I put these in my Ibanez RGR652AHBF with the universal battery pack and I'm glad I did. I'll admit there were some clearance issues with the battery pack, but my local tech got it done without any major problems. The bridge is absolutely brutal. It sounds a bit thin on cleans, but once you switch to the neck you'll never go back on clean tones. I have never heard… read more a warmer thicker sound out of a neck pickup. Even in single coil. Which I have absolutely no noise issues like the prior post. I think Fishman and the awesome Keith Merrow knocked it out of the park with this set. I will be buying more...
Not a fan
The single coil voicing gets a ton of buzz and white noise - FAR from noiseless. The other voicings sound pretty good except seem to also get a bit more buzz than i would expect (nowhere near as much as the single coil but still unacceptable to me). I have the Tosin Abasi Fishman pups in another guitar and they sound awesome + totally silent.
