Not only are these pickups great in sound they look amazing as well with an added touch of glowing in the dark. I cannot recommend Fishman products enough however these Stephen Carpenter signatures are my absolute favorite.

Must have for modern metal

I felt obligated to leave this review so I could tell people to ignore the 1 star review where the person is complaining about it not fitting in their guitar. That's their own fault, not Fishman's. What a character. Anyways, I threw these pickups in a Jackson Dinky 7 string in drop G (pickups were more than the guitar, I know) and let me tell you, they absolutely SHRED. I have another… read more 7 string with SD Blackouts and the Fishman's put those pickups in the corner. I'm able to get modern metal tones out of a Rockerverb MKIII where with the stock pickups I felt that I was lacking output/clarity and the tone was just a bit muddy with such a low tuning through the Orange. Installation is definitely a bit involved so definitely factor installation pricing in from a tech if you don't feel comfortable with a soldering iron, but that being said it isn't difficult if you're patient. Absolutely worth the investment, can't say enough good things about them.

OMG Best sounding actives on the planet

The wiring is not simple but not complex either. Im no pro but i was able to use different wiring diagrams to complete my set up. They are set for standard install so if you want the pull/push pots for single coil send it out. It is very difficult. This is my second set. I have the 6 string version as well. These pickups are amazing. I fully recommend them.

Total garbage

1. Awful wiring 2. The pickups didnt fit my 7 string guitar so i have to modify my guitar. Hopefuly i wont break it. 3. At this point i dont care about the sound just want to throw them into the garbage. If you are excited to test your new tone forget about it or be prepared to spent more money to make them to work.
