I bought the loaded pickguard with the battery pack a few months back and installed them in my newish Fender Vintera 50's strat. The original pickups were not bad in that guitar, but like a lot of us I couldn't leave well enough alone and decided to upgrade to see what this new tech had to offer. I'm really glad i did, this settup is the most stratty McStrat face set of Strat pickups… read more I have tried. The thing that really works for me is that they are totally noiseless which works out great when recording, plugged straight into the interface, zero noise, great sounding pickups. The install wasn't bad, just set aside some time (2 hours?) or pay someone... cheers

I wrote a review for just the White pickguard version of this product. Check it out for details on tonal qualities. I have this exact setup on my Strat. It was pretty easy to install and the results are stellar. I cannot be happier, the pickups sound superb and the battery lasts a very, very, very, very long time. No joke--I've been consistently playing my Strat for a few hours… read more per day over the past month. I haven't had to recharge the battery yet! It's ridiculously awesome.
