Great for modern metal and beautiful cleans
I put these in an Ibanez SRC6 bass VI To turn it into a baritone guitar. Installation was straightforward and quick with proper instructions and materials provided. If you are looking for the Tosin Abasi sound these with get you there. The cleans are absolutely gorgeous especially in single coil mod and the two humbucker modes sound really good with any amount of gain. These are… read more an excellent upgrade for your instrument.
Sound incredible, pain to install in a lot of guitars.
These pickups sound absolutely great. Versatile and clear, single coils are some of the best I've ever used, high-gain tones are articulate and cut through. Everything about them is great except the install. These pickups direct mount to your guitar ONLY. (NOTE: You will need to seperately buy a 5 way super switch or an Ibanez switch to access the 3rd voicings and wire it as recommended. This was my first time installing guitar electronics and it went fine, so I'd say if you have the confidence, some background info, and a soldering iron, don't be afraid to try out the project for yourself. It takes a couple hours, but the difference in tone on that first plug in is sooo worth the effort)ALSO! I cannot stress enough how satisfied I've been with Sweetwater's service. Ordered on Friday, they arrived Monday morning. How about throwing Josh Sackett a raise?!?!
