Very Satified
I built a Grethch hollow body guitar and needed a case to transport it. I emailed my sales engineer at Sweetwater not knowing if I would be able to find a case that would work for the guitar. Ian Angle got right back to me with this case. Two days later I had the hardshell case in my hands and my guitar fits it like a glove. Could not be more perfect.
Mismarked case
This is a good case but It's not an G6242L but rather a G6242L-FT. According to the Gretsch site a true G6242L is arch topped. Both the G6242L and G6244 will accommodate Falcons and other arch top guitars and I'm not sure what the differences are. However, I couldn't help notice the pictured G6244 does not show the Gretsch name or gold tag on the case. Check out the cases and… read more Gretsch site and draw your own conclusion as I did.
Great case!
The case is everything it needs to be for my Gretsch Electromatic guitar. It came to me in the time promised, well packed, and included some sweet snacks to munch on. Thanks!
Gretsch G6242L 17" Hollowbody Case
I called Gretsch and they recommended 3 cases .. 2 we're $400 and over .. the G6242L 17" Hollowbody Case is fine and more reasonable in price .. It would be better if the case didn't have the flat top because the top / lid slightly hits and pushes down on the spring on the Bigsby when the case is closed .. hopefully after the case wears and the padding gets worn this will be better… read more .. well constructed and if you don't want to spend $400 for the other cases (which probably fit better) .. I recommend ..
