Only the very best
Sure I'm like so many others am a David Gilmour fan and just buying these strings isn't going to make you sound like Gilmour. I've been playing guitar for over 58yrs now and made a good living at it but on all my Strats and Teles these are the only strings they get. No matter how much or how long or how much I bend they stay in tune. I know....hard to believe but get a set or 3… read more and you will discover what I have. I'm a retired studio/session guitarist and I'll put these up against any set on the market.
Hey You... Buy these strings
I saw David Gilmour on the pack and knew that it was Time to try these strings. So I spent the Money and these strings really Speak to Me. I only Wish You Were Here to try them out for yourself. Don't have A Momentary Lapse of Reason and not buy these strings or it could cause Brain Damage... Seriously though, these are great strings. I put them on my Strat and it plays and sounds… read more great.
GHS David Gilmour Blue Set
These strings have a nice "chimey" tone on the high end and a good deep tone on the low end, but most of all, these are the "bendy-est" strings I have ever used. Seriously, it is like these strings are rubber bands.
Depth Tone and Ease of play
I don't usually write reviews on strings but these are great strings. I always went back and forth from 10-46 and 9-46 and the 9 E and 11 B did not ring at all and the 10, 13 and 17 were just a bit too tight. Just by putting the 12 and 16 in the place you bend the most without losing tone it is very nice plus the 28-38-48 on the bass strings are great for D tuning and they sound… read more really god for blues and driving rock/metal. GHS are great strings and I think the coated, special metal and $11 or $12 bucks a set strings do not outlast the regular strings by enough to warrant the price. Nice!
Boomers.. nuff said
Used these strings for all my playing and continuing gigging years. Been playing for over 25 + years. They are reliable and I hardly ever break them. Buy a set.. go, now.. run!
