Can’t go wrong.
Different folks on here have said X, Y, or Z guitar does/doesn't fit. I take them at their word. But I also have learned to take Sweetwater at their word, and when they say something is a certified fit, it's going to fit. I mean, I'm playing an industry standard Fender Stratocaster, so pretty much any Strat-style cases probably going to work, right? But, I still appreciated having… read more the Sweetwater guarantee. My advice: if at all possible, whether you are purchasing this exact item or something else that needs to fit or match or whatever, find your thing and scroll down to see what items they recommend as being compatible. They're not going to steer you wrong. Anyway, this is a good case that holds the instrument secure and has tons of storage space for strings, tuner, cable, maybe a pedal…??? Like, there's seriously quite a lot of room in there. I've got a nice, thick strap and I don't have to take it off, which is nice. And I like that the storage is wide open; there isn't that typical little "door" under the neck or whatever, so you never have to move the guitar to access your gear. Plus, I've had those trap doors come loose, which is annoying. After having this type of rectangular case, I don't think I would ever go back to a guitar-shaped case. Those tweed ones are classy, but this is more practical by far. And $!!! Get one now![Gretsch bass pic. is different size Gator case. Photo is to show the layout and storage space, which is basically the same.]
Great Case
I bought this case for my PRS 594 S2. It is a great fit. Gives more protection than the gig bag that came with the guitar. You can't go wrong with a Gator case.
A perfect fit
I am getting ready to move and wanted to protect my PRS CE24 for the journey, but didn't want to spend $ for a PRS case. For $ less this one works great. The guitar fits perfectly and the quality is great as well.
Fits PRS SE Custom 7 string
I really just wanted to put this out there that this case will fit a PRS SE Custom 7 String. I wasn't sure but I took the chance and it actually does fit... It's a tight fit though so I'm really not sure if it will fit the PRS SVN 7-string. The PRS SVN has a 26.5" scale whereas the SE Custom has a standard PRS 25" scale. There is maybe a quarter inch space between the end of the… read more headstock and the case. So unless the wizards at PRS figured out how to pack a 26.5" scale into a Custom 24 overall length, I would say the SVN likely won't fit. My guitar is about 38.5" long including the strap button. The case is about 39" inside. Side to side, the body fits perfectly with no movement. The "tunnel" I guess you'd call it where the neck sits fits the 7-string neck perfectly as well- no side to side play. There's enough storage inside for my strap, a clip-on tuner, a cleaning rag, and a spare set of strings. Overall, the case is definitely sturdy enough for going to practice and for gigs. Very happy with this purchase!
