Amazing
I cannot say enough good things about this pedal. I wanted to replace a reverb pedal I had used for the last 10 years and I wont look back after playing with this guy. Also, I saw some reviews about hooking up an acoustic to this pedal and hearing the tone(I didn't buy this for my acoustic of course). I can confirm it sounds amazing.
Atmosphere Reverb!
This is my always on reverb. For me, it works on everything! My style is classic rock and contemporary Christian. It has the perfect balance of guitar in front, and a beautiful big space around. I have always been a fan of REO Speedwagon's spatial sound from the 70's and 80's. Still on my board is my EH Holy Grail. It used to be my goto, now it's set for Fender 63 reverb and only… read more used as necessary. I guarantee you won't regret this Ghost Echo. My only conflict was if I should have opted for the Afterneath… in the end, simplicity won out. Extra: for pure beautiful "New Age" ambiance, I combine Ghost Echo, EH Canyon Delay (Shimmer), and an EH Canyon Delay (on delay). Yeah, I got two of them. Loop it and lay your lead over that. Even in my jaded traveling band family, I get positive comments.
Fantastic for acoustic
As another reviewer said, something about this sounds amazing on an acoustic guitar, it warms up the sound and adds projection and clarity in a way that most reverb pedals do not. Highly recommend.
Outstanding
Love this reverb pedal. Got it initially for the spring reverb, and slap back use, but you can work a pretty good plate reverb out of it too. Typical EQD top notch build. Yes there are more variable reverbs out there. But this one is absolutely outstanding at what it does.
This pedal sounds amazing on an acoustic electric guitar
This is the most amazing reverb pedal. It sounds like an entity is attached to the sound. It's really tripped out!. It sounds so amazing with an acoustic electric guitar. Each chord, each note sounds like a tripped out dream. Really! I love it! However I notice on an electric guitar it sounds just a little to processed. Maybe if I experiment with the pedal more I'll find a better… read more sound,. I could be wrong, but wait until you connect it to your electric acoustic. Wow!! I'm a one man act. I play older David Bowie to Rockabilly and this pedal is perfect for that. If you're into that kind of stuff............
