Gibson hit it out of the park!!!
The fit and finish is spot on. It really has that vintage sound and look. Grant Vitek explained all the details to me and I'll have to agree this is one of the best guitars I've played from Gibson. I have a few others like the SJ-200 and a Dove. But you cat put this one down when you start playing it. Bucket list...
Perfectly ballanced.. distinct lower end...bell like highs...very nice mids. Unlike any acoustic I'd played or heard. My favorite acoustic up till now is my vintage J45... but this J185 just may be my new favorite? I'm fortunate to own both.
Hard to put down !
I purchased the 1952 J-185 a couple of months ago and it continues to impress me every time I pick it up. It has a Bold and balanced tone that is opening up and constantly improving. The hand shaped neck on this guitar is nothing short of Spectacular !
