Couple of thing to do with it

First, change the strings. The Gibson strings are awful and they make the guitar sound like a tin can. Get rid of em. The guitar is well built, plays great, and it's pretty fast, this model has an adjustable bridge so that's a plus, and it's a great looking guitar. It has a beautiful finish, it sings very well, although it does not boom out sound like, say, my D-28 Martin. But all read more around, it is a great guitar, my only complaint was the factory strings. It comes with a very fine hard case, pack it with humidifiers. Mine was made in Bozeman, Montana, and so it was created in an ungodly dry environment, it sucks up moisture like crazy. About the first year it needs to be heavily humidified.

The Gibson Acoustic 60's J-50 original is awesome, and I rarely use that word.

Okay then, hats off to my sales rep, Ian Lemberg, ext. 1280. As to tone, open chords ring out nicely. Trebles are pure with no hint of tininess. The bass seems to roll out of the sound hole and rumble against one's chest. And in between is balanced, full tone. No electronics, which suit me. One thing I wondered was whether the adj. saddle would negatively affect tone. Of course, read more I've no real way to compare, unless I modified this beautiful new instrument. But I can report the adj. saddle doesn't impair tone, at least not as I can tell. The guitar sounds great. It also plays smoothly and arrived set up to my liking. Also, the nitro finish is more beautiful in person than in photo. Overall, whether it be build, playability, tone, or looks, this guitar lives up to the billing. There really is nothing negative to say.
