The Epi Sorrento is wired with Gibson mini humbuckers. I just love the sound of that guitar. It's a jazzier companion for my 2016 Gibson ES 335.

I play very clean tones with little to no gain in a jam style band and this pickup has been what I use 90% of the time. I use it in the neck position because I've never been into the high end of the spectrum. This pickup gives me the clear smooth tones I prefer, in the neck position of my 2017 les paul

Bought a used a Epiphone 1962 Sorrento reissue that was suppose to have these mini humbuckers. Salesperson said the owner who traded it in said they were "Quacky". He was right and I returned it. It turns out that they were cheap replacements and not Gibson's. Finally, I found a "new" 1962 Epiphone Sorrento reissue at a local dealer and was blown away by the difference the real… read more Gibson mini's displayed. Bought the guitar that day. Yes you lose a bit of low end but, the clean definition and brightness of them is something special in my all hollow body Sorrento reissue. I love these pickups. This is now my favorite guitar. I have a Epi Casino Coupe with P90s and an Epi ES 339 that I put Gibson 57 Classics in. They both sound great in their own way but believe me, these mini humbuckers are sweet in the right guitar. I love them!. Highly recommended.
