Nice JB
The G&L Tribute JB bass is a very close clone to the Fender Jazz bass. It has all the tones associated with a jazz bass and I like the neck a bit more that a fatter P Bass type. The finish is good and all the adjustable parts work as they should. I have played the bass on a few gigs where I switch back and forth with another player between guitar / bass. He likes the sound and playability… read more as much as I do. The only reason for a half star deduction is the weight is 10 lbs 6 oz. It is heavy but being old with bad legs I sit and the weight is only an issue carrying it... as a dual instrument player I'll bring two solid body guitars and the bass so every added pound is a detriment. I had both a Squire Jazz and Squire P in the past and they were just as heavy if not heavier and I like the G&L bass tone because I think it is closer in sound and playability to my 70's Jazz bass I had for sometime.
