Godin Multiac Grand Concert Delux is My Favorite Nylon Electric

Victor Tarassov

The Godin Multiac Grand Concert Delux is my favorite nylon string guitar when needing to amplify. The great service from Sweetwater was excellent too from ordering from Godin (Thanks Fred Di Santo) and having Chris McCown x 1328 set up the order details as well as the set up anc shipping crew. The guitar has a few features other Godin Multiac have not had in the past such as read more the LR Baggs Lyric mic and Tape saturation. These two features with the RMC pickups provide a very loud representation of the nylon string sounds that's very realistic and enjoyable to listen to. The preamp section is very tailorable to a players needs and environment. The phase switch helps tame feedback if it occurs. I run the mic at 60-100% and tame the frequency's low, mid, high to my taste. I have had great success running the guitar to a Rupert Neve RNDI to a EV 30m, QSC CP8, QSK K2-12, Bose S1PRO, Bose L1 Pro 32, House PA System JBL, And a few others. I also like running it trough a Neve Preamp & EQ. For weddings and outdoor gigs I'm using it with a Boss AD-10 and have excellent results. Now for playability. The neck playability is like butter the Richlite Bridge and Fretboard make it stay in tune and are solid and so easy to play on. The tuners really keep things in tune. I've kept the DAddario XTC46 Hard strings on and had great success. I've recommended this guitar to a few people who play in situations where you can get loud and micing a guitar is not a real option. The other great thing about the build of this guitar is it's stability in hot humid climates especially when playing outdoors. My guitar has paid for itself many times over. I think this is the best Godin Multiac built to date. My only two cons are the jack us located right where the guitar rests if you play in a traditional flamenco seating position. I think they would put it where the strap attaches like in many electric acoustic guitars (end pin jack) and the second is I wish the RMC pickups could still access trigger midi. That being said I would still purchase this again if anything happened to my Godin Multiac Grand Concert Delux. I have many high end nylons string guitars like my Lester DeVoe. The Godin may not sound exactly like my DeVoe but it plays as easy as my DeVoe and for Amplifacation and weekly gigs this is my workhorse guitar. Thanks Godin, Sweetwater and FedEx fir getting this to me. Highly recommend this guitar.
