Very Sweet in a Mahogany Body

I have a set of Gravity Storm pickups in my Gibson SG Standard that had the Gibson 61 pickups stock. Wasn't crazy about the 61's so the Gravity Storms sounded interesting. I am very happy with the clean tones of the neck pickup in particular. The heavy dark tone from the solid mahogany SG works well well with the complex tonal character from the ceramic magnets, but also warmer… read more sounding than a typical ceramic mag. No ice pick at all. Super clean but nice medium output...like the EMG-60 meets the Gibson 490r. I like to push complex prog chords with drive and not hear the chord breakup. This pickup does that perfectly!
