I have always loved the sound of Peter Green and the Greenie Les Paul. Ordered a set and once the arrived, installed them in my 2014 Les Paul Traditional (also purchased from Sweetwater). I was an excellent guitar, however, the pickups never wowed me...Now, with the Greenie's in them, it blows away any Les Paul I've played/heard!

Okay, if you're a fan of the original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green then these are for you!! Unmistakable sound just like Peter's 59' LP. I am playing through a Fender Blues Jr amp and a Blues driver pedal. If I only had the finesse of Peter Green, my guitar would sound identical!!!! These pickups are absolutely phenomenal!!!

I have fitted these pickups to a 2005 Tokai cherry sunburst Les Paul. As individual pickups they sound as you'd expect. Fat in the mid-range but not too much, and still with plenty of clarity. But it is the middle position that is the reason for bothering with these at all. Thats where they shine. Across the neck there's a varying degree of fabulous 'honk' that causes the notes… read more to jump out and sing. All the classic Peter Green sounds are there to be had.
