Give it a week

Bought it on impulse. Workmanship is great. It wouldn't stay in tune at first. Sweet water sent new strings quickly . It's really dry where I live so the wood took a week or so to stabilize. Sounds great. Well set up. Good experience.

Fantastic Guitar, Great Price

This is my first experience with a Hollowbody guitar, but I have to say; it has quickly become my favorite guitar I own. I love the tone, the shape of the neck feels great, and the bridge makes adjusting your setup fairly easy. If you're looking for a great guitar for a fair price, this is definitely it.

Incredible fine piece

Let me start bye saying that t own at least 14 guitar, Gibson, stratacastor , Eastman Gordin… I have to say that the playability on this guitar neck profile is outstanding. The action and sustain are just fenomenal. Since I purchased this guitar I have not pickup my other expensive ones Grestch deserve a FIVE STAR!

Easy on the eyes, easy on the fingers, wide range of sounds from jazzy to gnarly and she makes me look hip when I strap 'er on :) I might add here that Sweetwater customer service rocks. Timely, cordial and well-informed folks working here. Thanks again

Out of the box, this guitar is awesome. It was perfectly intonated and the neck is str8 as can be. Beautiful finish top to bottom. Lots of tones at your fingertips and they all sound great. Sounds great unplugged as well, like a low volume acoustic. Bright and clear. It has a sound of its own. Very fine instrument. Give it a try. Worth every penny. I'm happy with my purchase. I read more wanted something different and I got it.

This is a beautifully crafted guitar. Amazing quality for an incredible price. Playing over 50 years. Pickups are rather amazing. I will be upgrading the pickups with some TV Jones Powertrons. Unlike other pickups that I swap out I will be keeping the original broadtrons for other projects. Treat yourself to one of these fine instruments. Gorgeous!!

Great Guitar

These are a fantastic example of Gretsch Craftsmanship at an incredible price. You could easily pay three or four times the cost. Truly a fine guitar. Can't say enough. Mine came in perfect condition.

From the moment I held her....from that instant I smiled and just knew I found a jewel. I have relatively small hands and the neck is a dream. Only one other guitar I have has the same feel....my 60 year old Gibson j-50 . Dreamy dreamy guitar this gretsch. Fits me and my style like a glove. I couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone at Sweetwater for the extra work you put into the read more inspection. Super happy.

My Blonde Bombshell!

As always, I can never leave well enough alone. I never expect a new instrument to be perfectly set up right out of the box. I left the neck alone, but put on slightly higher gauge strings (.11 high E) and lowered the saddle a LOT. Lowering the action makes it feel like a "Streamliner" rather than a tow-boat. Truth is, this is a hefty, voluptuous battleship, as it's meant to be. read more It might be too heavy for some, but I'm primarily a dreadnought player and it suits me fine. The joinery is flawless, and the iveroid binding is a tasteful, aged look- not bright white. My only criticism on the finish is that the dark paint in the f-holes bled a little, but probably wouldn't be noticeable at all on a sunburst or darker finish. I'm totally happy with this purchase. As always! The bag of candy is a great technique for minimizing spousal grumbling over yet another guitar purchase, too! Please keep the Bit O Honey in the mix

Excellent Bang-for-the-Buck!

It looks, plays and feels like a true Gretsch (this is my third). In particular, I like the deep body (2.75") & the Walnut finish and the detailing is well done. I can see why this item was on back order - its great value!

Great experience

Guitar arrived well packed and ready to play. Was 30 degrees so I gave it 24 hours to acclimate to my home temperature. Plays great on my Acustasonic Jr Fender amp. I'm learning how to finger pick. Feels like it will be great for that.
