Gorgeous Guitar

Out of the box, this guitar is awesome. It was perfectly intonated and the neck is str8 as can be. Beautiful finish top to bottom. Lots of tones at your fingertips and they all sound great. Sounds great unplugged as well, like a low volume acoustic. Bright and clear. It has a sound of its own. Very fine instrument. Give it a try. Worth every penny. I'm happy with my purchase. I read more wanted something different and I got it.

From the moment I held her....from that instant I smiled and just knew I found a jewel. I have relatively small hands and the neck is a dream. Only one other guitar I have has the same feel....my 60 year old Gibson j-50 . Dreamy dreamy guitar this gretsch. Fits me and my style like a glove. I couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone at Sweetwater for the extra work you put into the read more inspection. Super happy.

Great Guitar

Very well built. I did not really need to change the pickups but I had a set of 57 classics laying around so I installed them. If you like hollowbody guitars, then you will love this one. Ask for Shelby, hes a good guy and always gives your order full attention and ships them out fast.

My Blonde Bombshell!

As always, I can never leave well enough alone. I never expect a new instrument to be perfectly set up right out of the box. I left the neck alone, but put on slightly higher gauge strings (.11 high E) and lowered the saddle a LOT. Lowering the action makes it feel like a "Streamliner" rather than a tow-boat. Truth is, this is a hefty, voluptuous battleship, as it's meant to be. read more It might be too heavy for some, but I'm primarily a dreadnought player and it suits me fine. The joinery is flawless, and the iveroid binding is a tasteful, aged look- not bright white. My only criticism on the finish is that the dark paint in the f-holes bled a little, but probably wouldn't be noticeable at all on a sunburst or darker finish. I'm totally happy with this purchase. As always! The bag of candy is a great technique for minimizing spousal grumbling over yet another guitar purchase, too! Please keep the Bit O Honey in the mix
