LOVE this guitar
this is a great guitar really fun to play and as usual shipping was prompt and Eric helped me pull off the deal I don't bother looking elsewhere for music gear Sweetwater always does me right
Great Guitar
I love this guitar. It is a great choice for someone on a budget. It played great right out of the box. The candy apple red finish is excellent. Sweetwater has the best customer service, they give you a call to ask how everything is going. A REAL PERSON. Spoke with a very nice guy, Shelby he was very helpful. I would recommend this guitar to anyone, especially if you're a fan of… read more the vintage look and sound.
Too Many Flaws to Bother Playing
As the title suggest this guitar is destined to become my prettiest dust magnet. The bridge has at least one one screw that is loose and rattles on every stroke. The nut appears improperly cut which probably accounts for the guitar going out of tune the minute I start playing, but that could also be caused by inexpensive tuners which may or may not change pitch as you twist them.… read more I was hoping for a player but looks like I got a trader. If I give it a name I think it will be Benedict Arnold or maybe just Benny.
Fantastic value
I love this guitar! It plays great, looks great, and sounds great. Construction, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are all excellent and, in my experience, better than other guitars in the same price point. The Bigsby is a nice touch, stays in tune, and works well for my needs (gentle vibrato, surf rock, etc). The electrified tone is mellow and pleasant, comparable to other… read more electrics that I own that have humbuckers. I didn't have any feedback problems playing with it through my Twin Reverb amp with Tube Screamer overdrive, though I kept the volume at a reasonable indoor level and didn't go too crazy with high gain distortion. This is fine for me as my goal is to use it for recording and playing for fun at home. This is my first hollowbody guitar, so I was surprised at how well it projects when playing unplugged. I actually play it mostly unplugged because of this, keeping it within arm's reach at home for anytime I feel like playing. Overall, this guitar is a screaming deal and fantastic value given the very reasonable price.
