I've had mine for a little over a year now and it is easily my favorite "solid body" guitar! It's very easy to play, sounds great clean or distorted, looks fantastic, mine is Roundup Orange, it's a definite keeper!! Big Thank you to Ryan Clapper my SE!!

Ok, so I play modern Worship music at church so my ears are tuned to be able to get that pristine clean and bright crunch that alot of the music we play calls for. I have Strats, Teles, PRS and Gibson's. This guitar has the sound I have been looking for and plays like a dream. I had a Fire Jet years ago and traded it for some pedals and cash. I was excited when Gretsch released… read more the newer Players Edition because of the easier access to the upper frets. I wish they had the ebony boards that the old Jets had but otherwise this beast has the old jet covered with an easy to play neck, tuning stability, strap locks, locking tuners and light weight...mine is under 8 pounds. When I saw the roundup orange let's you see the woodgrain...I had to bite..special thanks to Shaka my Sweetwater guy who got me a good deal AND made sure it got here in time for me to play it at our Easter Service. If she helps me bring one person closer to the Lord then she is worth every penny!! Blessings Dave H

After I lowered the action and put super slinky strings the guitar action and size is perfect for me. It's perfect for many styles like the Chet Atkins style and wild Furry Lewis country blues pounce when he is playing with a dangling slide.
