These are excellent for protecting the fretboard while polishing or a little light filing of fret edges. Much better and faster than using painters tape. Very nicely made and the handles are just great. I am very pleased with these.

I've been doing fret work for over 35 years, mostly using the "standard" Fretboard Guards, the kind without handles. The hard part was always trying to hold onto them while sanding/buffing, or going through the hassle of holding them down with rubber bands and having to move 'em for each fret. I can work much quicker with these, hold the guard handle with one hand, buff with the… read more other. Instantly move on to the next fret. Cool. Great price too.
