EVER HOLD A CANNON IN YOUR HANDS?

Sheldon R.

Yes, folks, my Guild D-20 is a "sound cannon", whose rich acoustic tone, balance, warmth, and volume far surpasses many of the more expensive models! At first, I was a bit apprehensive about buying an all-mahogany guitar, since mostly all my acoustic guitars have a solid spruce top, which I just love. However, upon my sitting down to play this big boy, I felt the rich, booming read more sound of a guitar that sounded like it had been played for 40 years. I could feel its vibrations deep into my chest. I highly-recommend this guitar to all. And as for the price, you absolutely cannot beat the Guild D-20! When you call, be sure to ask for Mike Soper to be your Sales Engineer. I've been buying guitars and accessories from Sweetwater for quite a few years, and Mike has been super to deal with in every way! He will provide you with his expert advice, and will answer any questions you might have---whether they be before or after the sale!

Phenomenal Guild D-20

This guitar has an almost harp-like beautiful sound when playing cords. The intonation is perfect and there is something about the neck and fretboard that makes it the most easily playable guitar I have ever owned. My thanks to the staff at Sweetwater for patiently letting me try out numerous guitars before I decided on this one.

I have the version with the Baggs VTC pickup. Sweetwater didn't have these so I found it elsewhere, which was a chance I took. My first American made acoustic was a 1975 Guild dread, I can't remember the model, but it was dark, maybe a D 25. I had it until I wore it out in 2013. This one is GREAT! Great playability, sound and looks. The pick up works great with the right eq. It read more looks like an old fashioned porch axe. I play it every day with a big smile.

Guild scores a Knockout

Just received my D20E in the natural finish and I am ecstatic with it's look, feel, sound, and playability. The wood and finish are flawless. The sound is expansive with tremendous range from solid full bass notes to extra crisp and penetrating highs. The tone control smoothly adjusts the sound to your preference. The action is good and the intonation is perfect. The included case read more is one of the best I have seen shipped with any guitar. I have only 2 minor issues. The lack of a battery box, and the output jack integrated into the strap peg preventing use of strap locks which I use on all my other guitars. Anyone who has played any model of Guild acoustics will easily transition to this guitar. If you are new to Guild this guitar will make you a believer.

Hi everyone, i own this guitar for 13 months now and every day i love it more. Even the way it smells each time i take it out of its case, hard to explain the feeling. Its a beautiful resonant guitar, very nice comfortable neck , feel and warmth of the solid mahogany to the tone, thin finish so you can feel everything about this beautiful instrument. I think its a big value copared read more to the price. And a really nice quality humidity controlling hardcase. Well done Guild!

Great sounding guitar

I put 80/20 bronze strings on this tone as i typically like deeper tones, and the solid mahogany adds to that deeper tone as well. Its my first all acoustic, non cutaway and all solid wood guitar, and I couldn't be happier with it. The finish on the guitar is satin, so its matte instead of glossy, and it looks a lot darker in real life than portrayed in the pictures, but I find read more that to be a plus.

The balance is perfect in this guitar. Great treble and bass presence. But my favorite thing is how comfortable it is to play, the neck is slightly less wide than other acoustics I've played which for me is a bonus. The finish is great and comfortable on the neck as well. The one thing I noticed is it's not quite as booming loud as some other dreadnoughts but when it sounds this read more great I prefer it. Very happy with this guitar, makes me want to try a D40 someday but this all mahogany is great as is.

Amazing Guitar

Would give it 10 stars if I could. Words can't describe the sound . This guitar needs to be played to really know how it sounds. Looks, it's like a beautiful Woman who doesn't need makeup or Jewelry to make her beautiful they would just take away from her beauty. plays like a dream . Got My first Guitar in the late 60's Bought my first Guilds in mid 70's a 6 string and 12 string read more . Have had a lot of others sense . Was a sound man for 20 years so got to try and play about everything there is . This is my all time favorite Guitar of all . I did make walnut Bridge pins for it.
