Guild F-250E
Just received this guitar yesterday, and I've playing ever since. I've been playing an Epi Masterbilt Rosewood dread, that I installed a Fishman Matrix pickup into. I'm picky about tone, especially when I have to plug in. I bought the Guild with the intention of just micing it up, and not using the Fishman Sonicore that came with the guitar, but I have to admit, with a little EQ… read more and a touch of reverb, through my Loudbox, this guitar shines. I perform what today is known as "Americana" music, but I don't stick to the script. I do a lot of Guy Clark, Nanci Griffith, Steve Earle, and Townes, and this guitar is perfect for whatever I throw at it. It feels unusually light, but it resonates beautifully--especially when strummed. I'm a very percussive player, and I manhandle my guitars. I'm not abusive, but I take advantage of whatever I can coax out of the wooden box I'm playing. I love the fretboard. It feels like I've been playing it for a long time. It's comfortable, and void of any buzzing. I like the idea that there is no bracing on the back, since it's arched. It really broadcasts out of that sound hole. I probably should have waited to file this review, but I think twelve hours of playing it gives me some valuable insight worth sharing. The Guild F-250E is a surpringly good guitar for the money, and with Sweetwater's financing, it was stupid affordable. I am very pleased with my purchase, and the service I get from my guy, Paul LaFemina.
Fantastic Jumbo
I received this guitar a few weeks ago and I have hardly put it down since. It plays incredibly well out of the box and sounds fantastic. The tones are very pleasant across various play styles, and I was impressed with how the electronics sounded through my amp (Boss Katana MKII 100W 2x12). The guitar also looks amazing in person. The listing photos are great, but once you have… read more this thing in front of you it's hard to not just stare at it. All in all I'd say it's definitely worth the purchase, particularly in this price range.
Value for price!
This Guild F 250-E Deluxe Acoustic- Antique Burst is a "Great Bang for the Buck"!
Guild F 250e deluxe
8/16/21. Recieved my f 250 from sweetwater. Couldnt be more pleased. Guitar came double boxed with plenty xtra padding. Only thing needed was a small tune.played great..However im kind of picky, so after an hour playing it, i destrung it and made a few minor personal adjustments.String action, truss rod, and new DR sunbeam strings 12 -53,s.This is an amazing guitar ,for what you… read more pay, your getting twice the guitar.blindfold me ,let me play it, and i would believe i was playing a 1000.00 guitar. As usual chris @ sweetwater ,and that whole crew do a wonderful job of getting you the best equipment/ instruments set up for your enjoyment .Again, top notch guild guitar and service
Great sounding guitar
I'll preface this with the disclaimer that I am a new-ish player with limited experience, but... This guitar is AWESOME. The fit and finish was literally perfect. I can't find a single flaw. Also, the grain on the top shows through the sunburst WAY better than it shows in the photos. It is also a wonderful sounding guitar. This might be a contradiction, but the bass is BOOMING… read more but it's also well balanced. You can feel the guitar reverberate in your body, but the mids still sing through the bass. I sprang for a setup from Sweetwater before it shipped so I can't speak to how it plays "out of the box" but with the setup, I am pleased as punch with how well it plays. This is also my first acoustic electric, and I am honestly quite surprised how faithfully the Fishman "translates" the amplified sound. (And I love that the controls are in the sound hole rather than being cut into the beautiful finish.) Seriously, I couldn't be happier with this guitar. If you are like me and have spent two months staring at it online, go for it. It's a real joy.
