Rings like a bell

I've had it for a little over a week and just got the right set up for my preferences and I just have some Martin 12 80/20 bronze strings on it and it sings like an angel. Next level guitar especially for the price. Highly recommend the fishman loudbox mini with this that's what I'm playing through and it's big time awesome.

An Absolutely Gorgeous Guitar

Let me start this review off by saying this; the guitar SOUNDS even better than it looks. And man, is she a looker. I can't help but giggle every time I open the custom-fit Humidicase (also really pretty, btw) and see that incredible satin finish. And don't even get me started about the cabernet finish on the back and sides. This guitar is almost as fun to look at as it is to play. read more Looks aside, this thing SINGS. I've played several jumbos (and aside from a 90's era JF30 that had aged wonderfully), it takes the win over all of them. Gibsons, Taylors, Martins... Just not the same. If you have a chance to play this guitar before you buy, take it! You'll fall in love with her for looks and stay in love with her for the sound. I'm absolutely smitten. Thank you Sweetwater! And thank you Guild Oxnard for building such sweet guitars!

Guild Needs More Recognition

First of all I would like to thank Ian Angle for promptly meeting all my gear needs. You"re great! I wanted to take the time to encourage more musicians to look Guilds way. This guitar sounds phenomenal with perfect craftsmanship. I"ve owned/own Martin, Gibson, and Taylor and believe Guild is often overlooked in the musician"s quest for Acoustic Instruments. They are putting out read more great guitars, and highly recommend you give them a try! Guild deserves more credit for the quality they are turning out. Give them a try!

F-40E, another amazing Guild USA guitar

Thank you Guild, Thank you Nick and Sweetwater. This guitar is simply amazing. At first glance it is stunning in all its modest glory. Of course this is one "preference" situation, but a satin finish on beautiful wood begs to be touched. I much prefer satin finished instruments. Neck, top, back and sides are silky smooth. No perspiration drag here folks, not even in a Florida summer. read more The details are subtle. Another preference, but simple beauty speaks volumes. This guitar doesn't need flashy appointments. The shape, size and proportions make the perfect statement. Clearly, the craftspeople at Guild loved this guitar from the beginning and took great pride in every aspect of its creation. From the wood selection to the finishing touches like fret treatment, this guitar is flawless. This guitar fits. Many guitars don't necessarily fit right. The weight is perfectly balanced when seated. The guitar is centered when seated: doesn't feel like too much lower bout in your lap or too much neck to reach for. The transitions from neck to headstock and neck to body have a great minimized flow. This guitar sounds huge. I lean towards finger picking more often than not. Notes don't get lost. High, mid and low notes are clear and present. One strum of an open E chord ... It was instant love. Every part of that chord was big, resonant and crystal clear. I believe this is what a large body acoustic guitar should sound like. This is how guitars should feel. This is a fantastic guitar.
